The 30th graduation and prize giving ceremony was a momentous occasion held on Friday 26 January 2024 at our prestigious basketball court to celebrate the achievements and milestones of the graduating class of 2023. The ceremony was filled with joy and a sense of accomplishment after the special march past performance by the cub scouts, brownies, guides and the brass band.
The highlight of the event was the grand procession of the graduates, dressed in their academic regalia, marching with a sense of pride, accompanied by applause from family, friends and guests.
The event fully commenced with an elegant opening speech by Mr. Samih Hashim; The Chairman Board of Governors. As a bilingual in English and Arabic, Mr. Hashim overwhelmingly highlighted the significance of the ceremony, shared his inspiring anecdotes, words of wisdom and encouraged the graduates to pursue their dreams with passion and resilience.
Recognition was extended to all visionary members of the Board of Governors in attendance, Mr. Faisal Basma, Chairman of Academic Committee, Mr. Samir Hassanyeh, Chairman of Finance Committee, Mr. Emad Khoury and Mr. Ali Basma for their invaluable contributions to the strategic direction and governance of the institution.
Following the commencement address was the report on academic standing by the Director of Studies and the graduates were called on stage, to receive their certificates, prize and awards distributed by our hardworking and dedicated Principal Mr. Ali Ahmad. Each graduate was recognized for their excellent unique performance in both internal and external examinations (IGCSE, AS, A Level). Most importantly, two of our students were recognized and awarded by Edexcel Pearson as the best students in Africa for English and French. The moment was marked by cheers, applause and occasional tears of joy from both graduates and their families.
The Director of Studies also called on the graduates of NPSE Class of 2023 for handshakes, followed by the proficiency prizes. Some Teachers were recognized for outstanding performance of the students in the IGCSE Maths, English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
The graduation ceremony was a resounding success which ended with refreshments and a vote of thanks in French, English and Arabic. Indeed, it’s a memorable and inspiring event for all attendance.
As a way of expressing love and appreciation to our indefatigable Chairman and members of Board of Governors, each member of the board received a bouquet.
